Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it a fate.” - Carl Jung
breathwork therapy
Breathwork is a journey to the core of your emotions and subtle layers of your unconscious self. Breathwork is a set of various breathing exercises to improve mental, physical, and emotional health. Originating from Eastern practices and incorporating Western therapeutic techniques to enhance self-awareness, Breathwork can include elements of talk therapy, breathing exercises, expressive arts, music, and touch. The breath is a bridge between conscious and unconscious. By connecting to our breath, we create a space to release what we’ve been holding onto, engage with our past, and move closer to our true selves. Conscious breathing helps to metabolize old wounds, move unprocessed emotions, achieve mental clarity, access inner creative resources, and connect with the Self.
Thus, one can renegotiate the relationships with the past to move forward.
Session
During the introduction, we explore what’s present and set an intention or theme for the active breathwork journey, which lasts approximately 60 minutes. The session is held in a supportive space, with close observation and guidance through verbal cues, optional touch, and carefully curated music.
We conclude with time for therapeutic reflection, integration, and a Q&A to support your process.
Conscious breathing typically takes place lying down, in a relaxed and comfortable position. Music plays a vital role in the breathwork experience—it helps activate the limbic system, the part of the brain involved in emotional processing and long-term memory.
