The body carries the story of your life.

Welcome an opportunity to become more informed about your embodiment, therefore yourself.

Somatic Therapy

Somatic Therapy is a holistic, body-centered approach that honors the deep connection between the mind and body. It recognizes the body as a vital part of understanding and working through challenges such as overwhelming experiences, difficult emotions, stress, and the complexities of life. Overwhelming experiences can impact us deeply when they feel "too much, too fast, not enough, or for too long" for our nervous system to process. These experiences may leave us feeling disconnected — from ourselves, our bodies, and the world around us. This disconnection shapes how we experience our thoughts, emotions, and relationships.

In somatic therapy, we explore the body language through sensations, movements, and expressions. This process involves practices like mindfulness, breathwork, body-based techniques, creative expression, and the power of human connection. It’s a space to attune to the body’s wisdom and uncover the stories held within.

Somatic Therapy is about finding safety in the Body.

Through a somatic approach, we learn how to gently tune into our body’s sensations and restore balance to our nervous system. This creates a foundation for feeling safe and at home within ourselves. Somatic work allows us to navigate the full spectrum of human emotions—joy, anxiety, grief, anger, fear, and everything in between—in a way that feels grounded and authentic.

By welcoming, befriending, and becoming curious about our emotions, we can begin to understand the messages they carry. This practice invites us to embrace our experiences with compassion, deepen our connection to ourselves, and move forward with greater resilience and authenticity, clarity and strength.

“While it’s true that all traumatic events are stressful. Yet, all stressful events are not traumatic.” P.Levine

my approach

My approach weaves together the principles of Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory, yoga, breathwork, and parts work. Somatic Experiencing helps gently release stored stress and overwhelm, while Polyvagal Theory provides a framework for regulating the nervous system and fostering safety. Yoga and breathwork invite movement, balance, and presence, while parts work supports exploring and integrating different aspects of yourself. Together, these approaches create a dynamic and compassionate path for healing, growth, and reconnection.

Testimonials

  • “Somatic therapy feels like I am returning to a home that I didn’t know I had left. It feels like mapping the contours of my inner self. It feels like reintegrating my body and my mind, and holding myself in the wholeness.”

    Hilary

  • “I always knew I loved myself and that I am awesome. But I did not think I could have her (inner child) and how self-love truly feels. Me to me. I have been waiting over 50 years to get here. I have discovered a path inside - I have a map. I just know. It’s a feeling”

    Kelly

  • “My session with Anastasija took me places that I have not been able to reach in nearly 6 years of traditional talk therapy. She somehow made such an intricate process seem effortless and led me right into the heart of what was weighing on me and shared strategies to take with me into the future. This work is a gift, I cannot recommend enough.”

    Leah

  • “Anastasija held space for me to explore my assumptions and beliefs in a way that was truly eye opening for me. She was like a guide inviting me into the depths of my soul body connection, in a way that I always felt safe and in control. She gave me tools that I could use to continue my work on my own in an empowered way. I’m so grateful for her patience, support, and compassion in our sessions, and for the first time in a while I feel confident on my path to getting back to a more embodied, whole version of myself.”

    Alexandria

  • Somatic therapy felt like waking up a part of my experience that I didn’t know was dormant. A return to my body, not just as a vessel (or a tool), but as a guide and a teacher. It started off disorienting/frustrating, but over time has become almost sacred….where sensation replaces my analysis, breath clears my mind, and clarity emerges without words. I’m learning to listen to tension, stillness, impulse etc….and have found another tool, as valid as the psychological and spiritual ones. And for me more accessible.”

    Kristian

  • Somatic therapy enables me to reconnect with every part of my epicenter—especially parts of myself that I have never been able to locate without the somatic mapping and breath work Anastasija has helped me discover.  Through her coaching, I have been able to find the emotional maps within my body and further safely discover my Self—my being —my joy— my pain and all the feelings in between—and most importantly integrate my body, mind and spirit while actually healing myself.  I am forever grateful.

  • “You made the space feel so safe that it invited a shockingly vulnerable experience. Thank you for that. I’m typically not that open. In my experience with other forms of therapy it takes weeks, even months, to get to the kind of depth we uncovered.

    Emily

  • “Our session the other day really helped to give me an anchor to move from. I started a practices of humming daily, have been running and moving body each morning and have been connecting with my inner child multiple times a day and it has made a profound difference. I have been able to stay present and grounded at work. It feels so good to understand myself at the deeper level and know how to support and move with myself though change and fear. Thank you fro being an invaluable catalyst to my growth”
