Frequently Asked Questions
I know starting therapy can bring up a lot of questions and it's completely common!
Here are some common questions I get asked to help you feel more confident and informed.
-
Weekly or bi-weekly sessions are essential to provide the support needed for the deep work of somatic therapy. Sessions are 60-70 minutes long, and as we progress, we can explore whether meeting less frequently might still meet your goals.

Our sessions combine nervous system education with slow, experiential work. You’ll learn how stress responses show up in your body - and how to recognize them as signals rather than problems to fix. We move at a measured cadence: noticing, pausing, orienting, and responding in small, workable steps. Sessions may include brief explanations, guided attention to sensation, and simple practices you can take into daily life. Over time, this supports greater regulation, clarity, and choice - especially in moments that usually feel charged, stuck, or overwhelming.

I do not accept insurance to prioritize your confidentiality and keep the focus on your healing, free from insurance limitations. To keep service accessible, I do have the following options:
1.Sliding Scale spots are available -please contact me if you believe you qualify.
2.I can provide a receipt of service for potential reimbursement. Please be aware that reimbursement depends on your insurer’s out-of-network policy and isn’t guaranteed. I recommend checking with your insurance provider beforehand to confirm out-of-network benefits.

Nervous System Reset is a short, focused offering designed to help your system slow down, reorganize and regain steadiness. Through simple nervous system education and guided somatic practices, we work with stress patterns as they show up in the body - tension, agitation, shutdown or mental overload. Sessions are paced and practical, supporting your capacity to notice internal signals, interrupt automatic stress responses, and return to a sense of orientation and choice. This is not about forcing calm, but about restoring contact, stability, and responsiveness in everyday life.
