Somatic Therapy & Why This Approach Stands Out
somatic therapy is a body-based, naturalistic approach to healing overwhelm in the nervous system and accessing the body’s wisdom. It helps you get under the story. We use the language of sensation, breath, and presence — to help you feel safe inside again.
This work doesn’t start with fixing.
It starts with listening.
A session therefore feels less like talking about experience and more like inhabiting it: tracking sensation, following breath as it swells and ebbs, experimenting with small movements, noticing how the heartbeat responds when a memory surfaces.
Because it addresses both physiology and narrative, somatic therapy can fold neatly into talk therapy, trauma work, bodywork, dance, or breath practice. It is especially helpful for experiences where words alone feel thin—developmental trauma, chronic stress, medical or sexual trauma, persistent anxiety states, and that vague sense of being “out of one’s body.”
No rush. No diagnosis. Just paced, felt exploration.
